When will your bike-a-thon take place? 

During the entire month of July, 2008

Where will your bike-a-thon take place?

I’ll start biking at the Canadian border (near Blaine, WA), and I’ll continue traveling down the Pacific coast on Highway 101. My destination will be the border of Mexico.

How will you complete the distance?

I’ll bike roughly 6 hours per day (including ~1 hour of running). At the end of each day I’ll stay the night at or near my stopping point, and the next morning I’ll begin again from the place where I stopped biking.

Who will travel with you?

My family will form the “drive-along-support-crew” and will also take turns biking with me.

Why are you completing a bike-a-thon?

I’m making this trip because I want to involve as many people as I can in the life-infusing work of GFA’s wells, thereby bringing hope to thousands of precious lives in India. Imagine the hope and lasting impact that would spring from the construction of just one GFA well! Now multiply that impact by 5, 10, 100!

How is your bike-a-thon connected to fundraising for Jesus Wells?

I'm asking people to support GFA's Jesus Wells ministry in a "donate-per-mile" way. This means that those who want to give money for a well can choose to "sponsor" a certain number of miles of my bike trek at whatever rate they choose. For example, someone may choose to donate $1 per mile for a 100-mile portion of my trip... This means that he/she has donated $100 total to GFA's Jesus Wells ministry. Donate-per-mile donations for Jesus Wells can be sent in as one total gift at any time (before the trip or during the trip... whenever suits you!).  

Will I be able to follow your progress on the bike-a-thon?

Yes! My plan is to post updates daily on my Blog (http://wells4india.com/blog.html) so friends, family, and supporters can have information on where I am and how the trip is progressing!
