About Me:

My Number ONE passion in life:

     The most important thing in the world to me is my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He loves me and has a plan for me, and everything that I am comes from Him. I want to live my life in such a way that His inestimable worth and beauty are clearly displayed to everyone I come in contact with.

    I want to spend my life pursuing the same purpose that the Apostle Paul did:

"I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:12-14

Here's a bit of further info about me...

  • I live in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, in University Place, WA.
  • I'm the youngest of 4 children--I have the world's most excellent sister (Charissa) who is 26, and two fabulous twin brothers (Joshua and Caleb), both 25. My parents, Keith and Nicky, are very likely the world's best, although I'm biased.
  • I'm 21 years old.
  • I'm currently a junior at the University of Puget Sound--although I'm taking a leave of absence this semester to pursue this project.
  • My major is exercise science.
  • Running is my number one "hobby"... A long run on a scenic route with temperatures in the 60s makes for a superb day ;
  • I'm passionate about sports. I'm a BIG fan of the NBA, NFL, MLB, PGA, NCAA basketball, NCAA football, tennis, the Olympics, and IAAF track and field. I listen to sports radio (I'll admit it), and I love a good conversation about sports.
  • I have a goal of running in one or more U.S. Olympic Trials for the marathon.

Here are a few pictures: )

This was me at my brother Caleb's wedding as a groomswoman (with the other groomsmen). Caleb is second from the left. Josh is on the right.

This was taken in the middle of the 2006 Division III National Cross Country Championships race in Ohio (I'm in the Puget Sound singlet). If you want a memorable story, ask about the mud--12 inches deep.... Everyone's time was a full two to three minutes slower. We threw away our shoes afterward. Good times.

This picture was taken just after I completed my first half-marathon in San Diego (in August of 2007). I was hooked ; )

Here's the whole family on New Years Day, 2008 : ) From left to right: Carri Jo (Caleb's wonderful wife!), Caleb, Charissa, Keith, Nicky, Josh, Emily.
